Orchidea 2nd Anniversary
Orchidea, a sophisticated and upscale restaurant, celebrated two years of exceptional food and service by hosting a live broadcast on November 21 with Zev Brenner of TalkLine Communications Network.
The theme of
the program was a discussion focusing on political
issues important to the Jewish, and specifically, Sephardic communities of Brooklyn.
Among the
elected officials who appeared on the show were Councilman David Yaasky,
Assemblyman Vito Lopez, Councilman David Weprin and Congressman Jerry Nadler.
Throughout the broadcast, Mr. David Greenfield, the executive director of the
Sephardic Community Federation was present, interspersing informative and
enlightening insights to the lively exchange. Also present, enjoying the
broadcast and the delicious Orchidea cuisine were Mr. and Mrs. Sol Waba, Mr.
and Mrs. Michael Wahba, Mrs. Betty Cohen
and her son, Adam, all extremely involved in the community and active board
members of the Sephardic Angel Fund, Sephardic Bikur Holim, the Sephardic
Community Center and SAFE, among others.
