I’ve had the honor of working with the late Senator on the legislation to award Wallenberg with a Congressional Gold Medal. Senator Lautenberg or as I used to call him Reb Feivel was a symbol of a bygone era–fiercely proud of his Jewish heritage and authored legislation to help Soviet Jewry.
