Delivering healthcare for thousands.
Nachas Health and Family Network, is a healthcare and social service community based organization which delivers services for thousands of individuals annually.
Nachas Health is famous for its mega health fairs that screen thousands of children and hundreds of uninsured adults annually. The organization coordinates free medical screenings and health fairs, as well as health education and awareness programs for all ages. In 1995, Nachas Health initiated the “Women’s Health Screening Project” screening uninsured women monthly with life-saving mammography and pap-smear screening potentially saving hundreds of lives each year.
Nachas Health maintains a separate department dedicated to reducing the social isolation, and improving the economic conditions of seniors, with a focus on Holocaust Survivors. The department is staffed with bi-lingual case managers, social workers, therapists, and peer counselors that are experts in dealing with senior issues specifically mental health, entitlements, and support groups. Currently Nachas Health services 1,100 Holocaust Survivors annually and maintains a database of nearly 6,000 survivors that have received benefits from Nachas Health since the program’s inception. Nachas Health has been the trailblazers in navigating the reparation maze, and has recovered thousands of dollars for survivors internationally by completing the reparation application for them and advocating on their behalf.
